So what are these coveted Stars you may ask? The founders of the Michelin Tire Company, Andre and Edouard Michelin, created the Michelin Guide in 1900. It was a free guidebook for French motorists to encourage travel. The purpose behind the Michelin Guide was to promote road trips, encouraging the use of automobiles, as cars were quite novel in the early 1900s. Today the MICHELIN Guide remains a reliable companion for any traveler seeking an unforgettable meal and hospitality experience.

In addition, At the same time , New Orleans was designated a ‘Creative City” for Music by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, joining only nine US cities and giving our musicians, music economy and our community prestigious global recognition and opportunities to connect and create impact with other international Creative Cities.
Earning the UNESCO and Michelin accomplishes what we have been saying for years . These prestigious awards stand as a testament to the commitment to excellence that enriches the experience of everyone who chooses New Orleans as a place to live, work, and visit.
Congratulations New Orleans! See you soon!
