Easy to Make Shepherd’s Pie With Thanksgiving Leftovers From The Cuisineist Test Kitchen

Thanksgiving has past and we are looking forward to the rest of the Holiday Season. Turkey Sandwiches , although delicious  are getting old and you have a mound of mashed potatoes in the refrigerator.  The Cuisinieist test kitchen has been hard at work this holiday season creating some  fun , mouthwatering  , low stress  dishes to enjoy those leftovers . Why not try a classic Shepherds Pie that will look like you worked hard in the kitchen  and impress your family and friends ?

Easy to Make  Shepherd’s Pie 

 

 

 

Ingredients

      • 1large onion, chopped
      • 1 stock of celery, chopped
      • 1 large carrot , chopped

      • 2 pounds ground beef

      • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

      • 1(18- to 19-ounce) can vegetable soup

      • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Directions

Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat . Add carrot , celery  onion, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper and saute, stirring occasionally, until onion is golden, about 5 minutes. Add beef and 1/2 teaspoon salt and brownmeat , stirring to break up lumps, about 4 minutes. Add soup and Worcestershire and bring to a boil . Boil until liquid in pan is completely evaporated. This should be around  10 minutes.

Preheat broiler.

Transfer beef mixture to a 3-qt  baking  dish, then spread potatoes evenly over beef. Broil until potatoes are browned in places and heated through, about 8 minutes.
