This story begins at Continental Vineyards. A 2500-acre parcel of land quietly harboring stories of hard-working caballeros, cattle barons, and grape growers whose dedication and vision shaped this place.

 

Originally named Rancho Tierra Rejada, “Land of worked earth,” the determination of those who came before to care for the land makes these wines unique. The wines reflect Paso Robles, which is big, bold, and an excellent example of terroir. All are handcrafted with minimal intervention to reflect this place’s soil, fruit, and character.

The man behind the wine is the director of winemaking, Chris Cameron, who has over 40 harvests in hand and offers a wealth of experience spanning many countries and continents. Chris arrived on the Central Coast of California just in time for the 2007 harvest and has since used his determination to interpret and enhance the quality of Paso Robles wine.

A native of Australia, his approach to winemaking presents the true ‘personality’ of each wine, accurately reflecting its terroir and varietal distinction. A master at blending, he continually pushes the limits to uncover the balance and purity of fruit, whether with single varietal, single vineyard wines, or more complex blended wines.
