We love visiting the Central Coast of California and one of those places that is near and dear to our hearts is Monterey Finding great accommodations is something we are looking for as we travel and the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course is a gem among the offerings in the area.
Often traveling with our two fur babies, finding a pet friendly hotel is a top priority for us when we are driving to a destination. The pet and family friendly nature of the hotel attracts many family members as a go to place for vacationing or visiting relatives in the area.

We happened to arrive a few days before Thanksgiving and the hotel was sold out with many families and their canine companions enjoying the spacious and gracious surroundings.

The two full size swimming pools are a favorite amongst the guests with adjoining hot tub and shuffle board game areas.

Need space for a conference or a big meeting? There is 40,000 square feet of meeting space and a full staff to keep everything running smoothly for your important business debut. No doubt that the space is set up with all things necessary for business meetings, from desks and chairs (which may be similar to ones on office monster), to projectors and network connections. And of course, there is the 18 hole golf course that is literally embedded into very hotel surroundings that is available for guests to enjoy upon request. If this is one of the main reasons why you came (who could blame you) then you may want to get a remote putter fitting beforehand to help you with connecting to your golf club and potentially giving you a great game.

After a busy day at the Monterey Bay aquarium or Cannery Row, a hop in the pool may be an ideal way to revitalize and refresh before a dinner at the TusCA restaurant or Knuckles sports bar. TusCA restorante offers an upscale casual dining space adjacent to sweeping views of the golf course.

Here the focus is on Farm to Table Freshness with the flavors of Tuscany accompanied by a wine list that showcases both Italian wines and some very nice local offerings, including a lovely McIntyre Pinot Noir. Knuckles Sports Bar is one of the Monterey’s favorite Sports Bars aside from being a relaxing place to hang out and enjoy a nice cold beer and hot popcorn from there complimentary pop corn machine.

There are great specials at Knuckles, including $4 drafts and $4 appetizers that will have you enjoying the game a whole lot better. If a cocktail and a bite are all you are in the mood for, the Fireside Lounge next to the front lobby is a great place to relax and watch golfers approach the green. Weekends are busy in the Lounge with Live music and lively atmosphere that draws both tourists and locals alike to the Hyatt Regency.
And of our course, for those who love to spend time SPAhhhing, the Marilyn Monroe spa is the place for pampering.

Glamour is well embellished in the spa surroundings as you enter the vibrant and welcoming spa at the Hyatt Regency. After a day on the beach, a massage or facial will have you glowing with Marilyn sizzle for a night of dining and dancing on the Monterey Peninsula.
