Fattoria La Traiana is a wine-producing farm, which has preserved the procedures, practices and workmanship handed down over time and now renewed by the Gigante family, owner of the Fattoria since the early 1960s. The Fattoria Traiana has been following organic farming methods for over 10 years, and is certified in accordance with the EEC Regulation no. 2092/91. There are vineyard that are about 40 years old, comprising the classic grape variety of Tuscan tradition, such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo Colorino del Valdarno, Mammolo, Ciliegiolo, Trebbiamo Toscano and Malvasia del Chianti. The more recent plantation is also particularly extensive and comprises the best clonal selections of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sirah, Carmenere, Petit Verdot, Fer Servadou, Tannat, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Montemaggiore is both a wine producer and a country house. It is located in the heart of Tuscany, on the hills halfway between Siena and Arezzo. Olive groves and rows of vines alternate to create a charming and multifarious landscape. Focusing on local traditions, they have decided to adhere to the E.U. organic farming plan. All the cultivations are free of chemical substances, pesticidal treatments, manure and fertilizer. There, you can also find three old villages, Palazzuolo Vecchio, Montemaggiore and Casanova, completely renovated by preserving their original characteristics. You will have all the comfort you need and enjoy swimming, biking, horseback riding, spa treatments and golf. Upon request, they will be pleased to organize wine-tasting and winemaking courses, for you, or dinners featuring classical dishes of the Tuscan cuisine.
San Luciano Vini is a beautiful place located in a dominant position surrounded by woods and cultivations. Here, Ovidio Ziantoni and his sons, Marco and Stefano, continue the tradition of delicate, floral and almond white wines made on the slopes of Val di Chiana, such as Luna di Monte made from Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Grechetto and their more full-bodied, Resico, made from Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Vermentino. But, they also produce extraordinary tasting red wines, such as Colle Carpito and Boschia Salviati, a deep red wine with ripe berry fruits intermingled along with vanilla and toasted French barrique. The quality of the wine and the charm of the place give you more than one reason to experience this.
If you are planing a trip to Italy this summer , who could ask for a better vacation of a lifetime than in Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo.
